About Me

I am currently a PhD candidate in Biomedical Informatics (within the Department of Biomedical Data Science) at Stanford University. I am a member of the Helix Group, led by Prof. Russ Altman. Previously, I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I majored in Computer Science and Molecular Biology (aka Course 6-7).

The driving motivation of my work is to use computational methods, particularly machine learning, to accelerate drug discovery and contribute to biomedical knowledge. My PhD work is mostly focused on protein-ligand binding at the molecular structure level – specifically, structure-based binding pocket discovery, and leveraging off-target binding predictions to make hypotheses about adverse drug reactions and drug repurposing opportunities. I also work on techniques to leverage text from social media to track patterns in the opioid crisis.

I am on the job market. Please feel free to contact me if you think my background would be a good fit for your team.
